Walking and standing

Thursday night I walked about a half mile, and at the turnaround stood for 14 minutes. There is a real difference in standing with trees; they impart an aliveness and “breathing” quality to the stand otherwise missing. I also discovered another phenomenon, where I began to zone out and my visual field seemed to spiral around for about 30 seconds, acting like a tunnel.
